Alright, so most of you know about my slight obsession with children's photography. This past weekend we took our little model to to a traveling vintage photographer who was in the area. It was so much fun to dress her up and try on all their hats and props!! "A", who usually never sits still for a photo, never wears hats, or never wants to look at a camera, amazingly did all of it!! I think she just like all the fun stuff around! A few tricks they used were a feather duster (with a long, long handle) to tickle her toes and a pretty box of marbles which she held and then tossed out to us with a smile. So I went today to see the proofs, and wow, I love them (surprise, surprise). Here are a few of the proofs. The ones I ordered won't be in for awhile, as they get hand painted on for some burst of color. So can you believe these aren't even my top favorites? Oh you can check out the photographer at http://www.lantowphoto.com/ if you want!

Reading Group
The Griz went to her first Reading Group this morning at the Library, and LOVED IT! She was so excited and extremely expressive about it - so different from our gymnastics and swim classes (she was a little nervous I think). She just went right in and got her hands onto everything available! The teacher uses instruments, toys, dolls and even a parachute (which was by far her favorite activity) to get the kids involved! (I hope to be able to get some pic's at one of our future classes.) I was really surprised, as we have gone to story time at the bookstore, and she wasn't too happy about sitting. This class was much more active and suited her wonderfully - we can't wait until next week! Since no picture of class, I'll post a recent favorite.

Walt Disney World
We went on our first family vacation back in January, to Walt Disney World! Although Little "A" didn't want to sit on the plane (and she screamed for the first few minutes) once she calmed down and got settled, she was wonderful from there on out! She loved meeting all the charaters, she played patty cake with Minney Mouse, walking around the park and seeing everything! She even went on the Pirates of the Carribean (I thought it might be a little scary) and the Animal Kingdom Safari (which was my favorite part). We had three and a half wonderful family days! Hopefully we'll be able to do this again soon! We even met my sister and her oldest son there the one day - they happened to plan their little trip at the same time - so there's one pic of the two of them!

Snow Days
Here is my helper in the snow! I know the bottom one is an older shot that some of you have seen, but it's too sweet for me not to post. She loves being outside, she doesn't care if it's cold or snowing. She loves to push the snow around with a garden shovel when I'm shoveling! We built the snowman awhile ago, although he didn't make it last week when we had the rain (sleet) - he is currently fallen over - but he was fun for the good while we had him! (oh, if you want a larger view of any photos, just click on them!)

Valentine's Day
Here are a few from Valentines Day! A's Daddy gave her a red heart monkey, a Dora Valentines Book and Big Crayons with a mini Elmo Coloring Book. Of course she loved everything! I'm going to post a picture from last Valentines Day since I wasn't blogging then - kinda incredible to see how much she's changed!

Welcome
Welcome! My first post - I'm still not sure what I'm doing or exactly why. I think I want a place to share the amazement of motherhood! My little A is currently 19 months and always amazing me and her dad! She loves to jump, she can really get off the ground now! She is learning her letters, and knows about ten now. She loves reading, music, dancing and shoes! Can you believe it already? She will sit in the foyer and play with the shoes for I don't know how long! Here she is reading with her snow boots on and then playing with a shoe in our foyer (that's a shoe lace in her hand).
