When the rain managed to hold off for most the day - and the temperature was just right! We were afraid to wander too far (meaning the park) as the sky looked threatening still, so we just stayed in our own backyard! Perfect - I can go grab my camera! The other day, Miss "A" made us go out in the pouring down rain - she has a new umbrella. I don't know what the point of the umbrella was though, as she stomped so hard in the puddles, she was so wet anyway! No photos of this, as well, it was pouring so the camera stayed indoors. So enjoy the photos from the dryer day.

Coloring Eggs
This is the first year we colored eggs!! "Fredric" LOVED the whole process. The very first egg - dropped right into the cup and crack. Okay maybe a little instruction necessary. After stressing to be gentle with the eggs she gets six painted and onto the drying rack. Then proceeds to get the next six into the cups and.... dad comes in. Two more immediately crack. Well I'm happy to report I actually managed to cook them all correctly - we've even eaten them!

How About them VitaBlocks?
Okay, so here I am tasting Gerber Rice Cereal (with VitaBlocks, whatever they are). Not so great, what a strange - ummm, not so good thing here. Not loving this yet - but Mommy insist that it will get better. I think more is going down my chin than down my throat. Just a few spoons, now that is enough Mommy!

Zac had his first taste of cereal yesterday - too adorable watching him taste something new and solid for the first time! I'll download the pictures off my camera at a later date. He is really starting to play with things now and holding on to things too. He'll just play and laugh in delight at himself - it cracks Jon, Ava and me up to watch him sometimes. He loves his toes. He'll reach out for them and then tumble forward as he is reaching for them with his heavy head. I just love it. Can you believe he is already five months? And Ava will be three in less than three months! She is still not potty trained and not wanting to waste her precious play time sitting on the toilet. What am I going to do? I've tried to bribe her with everything I can possibly think of - she just is not interested. Well I hope to really buckle down and get her on it later this month. Well she may not be potty trained but she can name her states on a map (or at least a vast majority of them) so I guess she can't master everything at once. We bought her a United States puzzle, and boy did she take to it. If only I could absorb as much new information so quickly. I think I'm actually releasing more than I am absorbing!!! So I'm off to get her the world map puzzle for Easter! She loves these floor puzzles and really masters them after a few tries. We thought a two sided puzzle would trip her up - but no.
