First Day

she had her first day last week - and my goodness - how she is growing up! She loves it so far. She was so excited to go. I do think she missed me and wondered where I went though. When I arrived to pick her up, she was sitting on the carpet with all the kids listening to a story. Once it was done and she saw me, she came running! She hugged me so tight and said "I love you mommy"! How great is that? I was going to stop at the store on the way home, but she just wanted to get home, so that was what we did. Today was her second day (she is only going one day a week through the summer), and she seemed to adjust great. Didn't mind me leaving, although she requested I just wait in the car and not go home without her. I told her I had a few things to do (not mentioning they were things at home) and then I'd be back; which she was okay with. How strange to be without her for these three hours, and liberating too!

Happy Birthday Ava Rose

She is now Three!!!!
She put this on just for a very brief moment! A little girl for a few seconds, pure mommy bliss! But she is now back to being a boy again.

Our Park

Here we are at our neighborhood park. Ava decided to run up and climb a dirt hill - you can imagine all the dirt in her shorts and pull-up, as she skid down on her bottom. Zac is loving the swing - and look at those thighs - so squeezable soft!
She has been dressing herself lately, which has proven difficult for me. She insist on being a boy, and mostly wears t-shirts and blue. So many beautiful cloths just hang in her closet, oh please just be a phase

Memorial Day at the Zoo

Ava rode a pony - which she was terrified to do just last fall - today! She is definitely gaining more and more independence and confidence as she nears three years. And Zac, still not sleeping, but adorable and smiley.
