To the Park

We've been enjoying the warm weather and getting out often. Here are some shots from our park down the road. Zac is pretty fearless and an advanced climber. I can't get over what he can manage to get on top of! What a difference from my very cautious girl. But Ava is getting braver by the day and trying new stunts. She is also more into playing ball, particularly basketball. Notice her form with her invisible ball!

Shovel? Check. Dirt? Check.

Yes, shovel + dirt & water = getting along. Here they are working together and actually getting along for what I would consider quite a long time! Letting them dig in the dirt and "make" mud may be dirty but totally worth it!

Navy Pier and Chicago

We did an overnight in Chicago and couldn't have had a better time. We went to the aquarium and saw the Dolphin show - which was fantastic! So different from the last time I saw it eons ago. It's like a real show, show - it has a little story it tells. We tried to see Happy Feet at the IMAX in 4D. Well during a preview a giraffe spit at us, and well Ava didn't take to kindly to that behavior and we had to leave. Yes, we left during the previews and didn't see any of the actual show. (She went hysterical over it) So much for nothing there. Well we made it over to Navy Pier and rode the Ferris Wheel. My children are ever so brave but my husband, not. He was pretty much terrified all the way up (on the way back down he was much better)!

Balls & Dogs

The kid has a true passion for Balls and Dogs. Anything round is worth grabbing and throwing and all dogs are worth stopping for. He gets so excited whenever he spots one, especially if he sees one in an unexpected place - I love it! If you say the word dog in passing he will perk right up and give an enthusiastic "ARFF" and "WOOF". Simple pleasures cannot be passed up; gotta love kids for forever reminding us of that.

Drama - Drama - Drama

Life with a little girl is full of Drama. This gal has more expressions then the desert has sand I tell ya. And I think she maybe an actress too - I can't even always tell when she is being for real or not! So you know none of these faces is genuine - pure show I tell ya!

Back to the Domes

We were at the Domes again back in April - hoping to get there this summer too - Although Ava isn't loving the place like she did just a short time ago. Guess she is growing up and on to bigger things. And Zac, well he rather go to the zoo. Our boy loves animals. Oh, but I still love it here and hope to get them to go with me still.
