Still likes the Domes

Ava had asked "When are we gonna go to the Domes" - so we jumped into the car and headed to Milwaukee. So glad she wanted to go still. Usually if it's not Great America or a swim pool, she just is not impressed. She always request to go to a "fun place" and, well, I didn't think the Domes fit into that any more. She surprised me with this and so I just had to grant her request. Saw our little turtle friend, so glad to see he's still around!

Springs Final Post

or at least what I believe to be Springs final post as Summer is now half gone! So here's the duo chasing the sun as it goes down for the day. We are so blessed with our sunsets here. I've gotta figure out how to get a good picture of it someday. Oh yes, and here is Ava sporting an Ariel outfit complete with pink shorts, superhero gym shoes and a Pluto hat. I swear I've tried to help her with her outfits but she is stubborn and knows what she likes. Believe it or not, her outfits are often better than then would have been without my objections.

Random Spring fun

Oh, now that it's July and we are in the middle of a heat wave, and by that I mean in the 90's for this entire week into the weekend with the heat index over 100. We've been kinda suck indoors, so I'm finally almost done posting our Spring photos! Hopefully after this next post I'll be into Summer.

Play Ball!

We've been playing some ball in the yard this spring. They both love sliding into "home" as you can see them sliding into the grass in any given place of the yard. I did finally go out and buy them some bases so they can run actual bases now. Hopefully she'll be ready to play on a team next summer. I thought with swimming, Tae Kwon Do and Summer camp she had enough to keep her (and us) busy. Oh, and yes, Ava is sporting a Chicago White Sox's hat and Zac has his sweatshirt too.

Zoo

Yes, Ava had to wear her Princess Jasmine outfit over her favorite Spiderman T-shirt to the Zoo this spring! She has her own fashion sense and at times I cringe and other times I actually adore it. Zac is still loving the animals, and Ava, well she loves

everything else (pony rides, park area, train ride, treats, carousal) so it works mostly.

4K End of year Music Concert

Ava finished her 4K year in May. She had a mixed reaction to school so far. Some days she seems to like it, others she just wants to stay home with mom still. The good thing is she has made great friends and really has come out of her shell some. The nice thing is she only went four days a week, so we still had our Fridays. This year brings on full day Kindergarten all five days, I know even I am gonna miss our time together.

Jefferson County Fair

Got our wristbands and rode all day! Was super hot day, but we stayed hydrated and rested in the shade with an Icy Drink.

Independence Day

Happy 4th of July! We went to Jefferson over the weekend and the kids (and Jon) stayed

up for the fireworks this year! Lots of fun at the Jefferson Golf Course for a picnic, bounce house, music and friends!

She is still loving her Ariel - although she now loves Daphne from Scooby Do and Zac of course loves Scooby.

Random Spring Photos

Thought I'd post a few from a couple months past while Zac and Daddy are napping and Ava is busy with some elaborate pretend play. I can hear her talking to her figurines as I sit in the Kitchen. Have two cousins coming over to stay the night, so should be a fun night! Love Blake and Caden, who's Birthday we'll have to celebrate too! Oh, and yes, does her own makeup.
