Beloved Aunt - Greatly Missed

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of my wonderful Aunt Diane. She lost her battle with lung cancer on August 2. She has been such a loving part of our family, and I just can't see how we are going to be without her. Her passing has left a hallowness in each of us. I want to let my Uncle and cousins know that they continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. She was a beautiful, fun and loving women that we all learned from and her impact on me will continue through my lifetime. Thank you Aunt Diane for all you've done and given to our family. (A tribute poem written by Billie can be viewed at http://rauccilove.blogspot.com/).

Botanical Gardens

We were at the gardens on Monday morning - trying to beat the heat. The Griz loved the bridge crossing and rock garden best. This was our first trip to the gardens in Milwaukee and I'm sure we'll be back in the future!

July 4th

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th - what great weather. I think it's been the nicest weekind this summer by far - no rain and just beautiful out. We went to the parade and had my husbands family over on Saturday. His sister generously bought us a gas grill (no we didn't have one, or a least not one that wasn't broke) and we amazingly put it together and had it working!!!! Unbelievable. Oh, and I have to leave a few links to pictures posted online by Amy Hall Photography of our adorable girl! http://www.amyhallphoto.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/hotter-106.jpg & http://www.amyhallphoto.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/hotter-140.jpg (this is in my wedding dress) & one more of her seriousness http://www.amyhallphoto.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/hotter-147.jpg

An evening at the Zoo

We went to the Zoo for it's yearly Evening Event. They had live music (which "A" loved and danced forever - which was wonderful, because Jon and I were able to eat), sting rays you could pet and other fun stuff not usually there. The lions were walking right up against the glass, a little nerving.
