What a great time we all had in Madison last month, although Ava ate the Claim Chowder and said she likes it better in Boston. She never ceases to amaze me. We stuck by the Capital mostly and the Farmers Market on Saturday morning. Of course the favorite part was swimming in the hotel pool. We did stop off on the way home at the Cemetery of Grandma Ward (Jon's maternal Grandma) and her family.

Last of Summer Vacation
Well school starts next week! Ava will go Mon - Thurs mornings and Zac is going Tue & Thurs mornings! What will I do with all my new found time? August has been a whirlwind of activities and adventures, including an overnight stay in Madison and a long weekend in St. Louis. But today it's back to Great America for our best bud, Jason's, Birthday! Here we are at the Jefferson County Fair.

Rock Star Birthday
So here are a few from the Hannah Montana Rock Star Birthday Bash (were the guest were requested to wear pink). Our superstar is now four and was so glad to have everyone over to celebrate. She wouldn't let us sign Happy Birthday but I Might Even Be a Rock Star song by, who else but, Hannah Montana. Of course no one knew the song, so we busted out the DVD of the concert and had it play while we all stood around a little confused. But she was so thrilled and hey, I guess her changing the song with cake is thing with her cause last year (or was it two years ago?) we had to sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game instead too.

Great America
Well we've seemed to go to Great America just about every week since it opened in May! Ava loves, loves, loves going. She is a super coaster kinda gal I say! She is tall (and brave) enough to ride three of them all by herself! She isn't into going upside down yet (so even though she could ride the Demon with an adult, she hasn't). She really loves to go fast (and spin). Zac, well he can't wait to get on the big rides, but is pretty good about waiting till he's a little taller. For now he rides anything he can, which surprisingly is quite a bit. Well thanks Grandma Sue and Grandpa Tom for the passes! We love 'em!
