Time for a post?

How does the time get away so dang fast? We have been going and going and school is already out and summer has arrived. So what's new..... well maybe I haven't mentioned that my sweet, little Zachary is such a little stinker. He's really working on being a clown for sure. Everything is funny. Everything is a joke. Man I tell you, he is difficult to get things done with, always clowning around and stopping to crack up about something. While it is wonderful to see him so happy so much of the time, it is very, very, extremely difficult to get him to understand when he does something he shouldn't. If I put him in timeout, he laughs. If I yell he laughs. If I take it away, you got it, he laughs. So, it's a slow process. One of his latest is his new found love of drawing on walls. He has drawn on Ava's freshly painted Pink Glitz; yes we finally painted & I love it - but back to Zac. Ya, he drew some elegant figure or shape or something with BLACK marker on Ava's beautiful wall. Ugggg - ya, it took a bit but I think I got him to understand that he is only to draw on paper. Yikes, guess I'll be breaking out the pink paint once again

Anyway lots of photo's I'm not sure which to go with...making this post extra hard. This is why I really must stay on top of this, as once I get behind I'm suddenly overwhelmed and then I just continue to put it off further. It is an ugly cycle. So more to come, as I must get spring fun up and posted. Talk with you soon.

Late Easter Post

Milwaukee Public Museum

Ava actually requested this picture, with her favorite animal: the frog. (Oh and her bottom lip is cracked from chapped lips).

Okay, with the added roaring sounds in a dark area this does look a little scary.

Our morning at the museum with good friends, Jason & Ari, always a great time. These dinosaur lovers were scared, once again, of the Dinosaur display. Go figure, it was the zoo all over. Ava was also scared into a panic in the butterfly house, and demanded we get out of there asap! Of course she didn't want to even want to take a step let alone walk through it to get to the exit. Yes, it's one of those areas where you can only go in one door and out the other, so once we were in we had to walk all the way through with her going absolutely nuts. Which made me absolutely nuts trying to get her out as fast as I could. She continued to scream while too scared to even take a step; while I'm trying to push Zac out, as he is trying to run away from me and grab at the butterflies. So, no Zac was not scared, but I now was scared for the poor innocent butterflies he so excitedly wants to catch, knowing he will only end up crushing them. Not a good moment, but everything else was super duper. So we want to get back soon, but will not be going into the butterfly house!

February Thaw

here we are enjoying the February Thaw without a need for heavy hats or mittens, which is a big relief for Zac (who hates mittens). It was a little scary walking down the slippery, snow covered boardwalks with these two, (I had this image of one of them plopping right into the mud and that whole thing) but no major incident to report. Worst was when Ava jumped off a tree stump into deep snow. Ava getting stuck then me pulling her out only to lose her boot in the snow! Once I got her seated on the tree stump, dug out her boot & got it back on her, the tears passed. All episodes come with major drama these days. How did my mom managed us three girls? The drama must of been unbearable! I will say it was a BEAUTIFUL day and loved walking through the forest preserve with them - this was our first time here with snow.

he is no longer afraid to wear his Halloween costume. Doesn't fit him very well anymore, but we got it on him!

Big Snow

We have shoveled out and got by with just one snow day with our Blizzard 2011. With 19 inches here in Waukesha, we are loving the big 'ol snow mountain the plows left at the end of the road!

Too cold to get out today, but should be a great weekend!

Raucci Family Christmas

Our day continued with dinner at Aunt Jen's with the wild and rowdy gang. The kiddo's ran wild and we ate like kings. And Ava followed around "Cousin Becky" just about all night. Ava so idolizes her ever since Becky and Mikes wedding. Then we, of course participated in the crazy grab bag, with which I was so generously gifted with a bath plunger! Well considering we have four bathrooms on three different floors, I suppose having an extra plunger isn't the worst thing - but certainly the strangest Christmas gift I've received to date. Thanks to everyone for such a great Christmas, it certainly wouldn't be the same without seeing all of you.
